Welcome Toddlers and Families!

Hello! Welcome to the Toddler Trillium Blog. The Toddler Teachers hope to update this blog weekly with the goal being to offer parents and families an eye into our classroom. Our vision is that this blog will build and support communication among the classroom and families. Please use the blog to leave comments/provide feedback, and so we can chat further via e-mail and in person about the on-goings withing the classroom. Please feel free to share this blog with all of your extended family and friends, so we can all appreciate these wonderful toddlers!

Toddlers at the Table
Eating together is one of the highlights of our day. We enjoy our family style lunch cooked with love by our Chef Maya. Prior to sitting down at the table, we wash hands and gather together on the rug after a morning of playtime and eploration

"Sing a song and eat." -Sam

"I'm hungry for lunch." -Gideon

As chef Maya brings in our lunch, Aiden exclaims, "A snack!"

Once the table is set, we sing our lunch time song.

"I feel hungry.
I feel hungry.
Where's my lunch?
There's my lunch!
I have washed my hands now.
I have washed my hands now.
Munch. Munch. Munch.
Munch. Munch. Munch"

"Rice." -Gideon "More rice!"

Sitting together at lunch is a wonderful time to check in with each other and talk about everything!

After lunch we carefull put out leftover food into the compost, and carefully set our bowls down in the dish tub.

Jack was the first one done today, so he demonstrated how to put his bowl away so gently. The rest of the kids followed his lead.

After lunch we all wash our hands!

We would love for families to come join us for lunch!

Love,
Michelle and the Trillium Toddlers!
